LEICESTERSHIRE LADIES COUNTY RUGBY
Leicestershire Rugby Union
As sponsors to our county ladies rugby squad we were very proud to witness their semi-final victory over Hertfordshire on Sunday 19th May in a nail biting 24-22 win. They now reach the final of the Gill Burns County Women's Championship playing Buckinghamshire at the hallowed ground of Twickenham on Saturday 8th June.
We shall be there to cheer you on - go girls!
NWLSSP - Tag Rugby Competition
North West Leicestershire School Sports Partnership
Shane has spent many years coaching rugby to children and was instrumental in getting rugby back being played in our local schools. When a health set back forced him to retire from his volunteering duties he felt he wanted to still give something back to the children and so offered the sponsorship for the NWLSSP inter-school tag rugby competition for years 3 & 4 and 5 & 6.
The school sports partnership is a non-profit self funding organisation that helps to keep sport running in schools where staff and resources are low.
L.C.I.W.T.F - Leicestershire Coal Industry Welfare Trust Fund
Having begun his working life as a student apprentice in the Leicestershire coal mines, Shane felt honoured to be invited to meet with and give advice to the many retired miners and their families living in our local community.
Principle Wills and Principle Financial Services have been delivering financial and estate planning advice to these families through the Leicestershire Coal Industry Welfare Trust Fund (L.C.I.W.T.F).
If you are a retired miner or family member of, there are many ways in which the welfare trust fund may be able to help you. They are here to represent and support you.
